Multiple Linear Regression Analysis

Multiple regression analysis of salary vs rank/step. All faculty in the School of Nursing are women who are white or Asian.  As indicated in Table 1, the simplest model with only demographic variables shows that relative to white female faculty, Asian faculty earn 16%. Only 19% of salary variation is explained by this model. After all control factors are added, 99% of salary variation is explained by a model with demographic, experience, field, and rank variables. After adjusting for covariates, relative to white female faculty, salaries are 3% higher for Asian faculty. This model also shows demographic variables are not statistically significant.
