In accordance with guidelines issued by the Office of the President for policy covered non-faculty academics, the University of California is implementing a 4.2% salary range adjustment effective July 1, 2024, for monthly paid employees and July 7, 2024, for bi-weekly paid employees.

All salary scale percentage adjustments are approximate as the precise amount may vary due to rounding and modest smoothing to maintain consistent increments between steps. Smoothing of the salary scales may result in an increase of more than the listed percent.

The academic salary program will be implemented for the following eligible non-represented, non-faculty titles:

  • Academic Administrator Series
  • Academic Coordinator Series
  • Academic Deans and Other Full-time Faculty Administrators
  • Academic Recalls
  • Assistant and Associate University Librarians
  • Counseling Center Interns and Trainees (if the salary increase provided on June 1, 2024, is greater than or equal to the 4.2% salary range adjustment, then no additional salary increase will be provided. Those who received less will receive the difference.)
  • Librarians
  • Professional Research Series
  • Project Scientist Series
  • Specialist Series
  • Teachers – UNEX (Teachers – UNEX Contract-Year are not eligible)

The freeze only applies to the populations listed above who will have their salary plans range adjusted. The freeze period is scheduled for Monday, July 8, 2024, through Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
