UCI Academic Student Employees (ASEs) appointed as Teaching Assistants, Teaching Associates (Associates In), Readers, and Tutors are covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the Regents of the University of California and the Student Workers Union, International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) AFL-CIO. Teaching Titles
There is no automatic progression from one title to another. Classification is determined by assigned duties.
