I am very pleased to announce that Tanisha Willoughby has assumed the Academic Employee and Labor Relations Manager position in the Academic Personnel Office, effective Monday, November 4, 2019. In this role, Tanisha will provide consultation and assistance to deans, department chairs, faculty and staff on strategic decisions, including compliance, employee relations that include conflict resolution and performance management for both represented and non-represented academic appointees. In addition, Tanisha will oversee initiatives to ensure campus compliance with academic personnel policies and procedures as well as academic labor contracts. She will also serve as liaison and manage the academic grievance processes involving academic appointees.

Most recently, Tanisha served as the Academic Employee Relations Manager for UC San Francisco. Prior to that she was the Associate Director of Program Compliance for Digital Education at Purdue University, where she developed policies and procedures to ensure digital education products for Purdue are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations. Her prior professional experience also includes working as Managing Associate Attorney at a law firm and as Administrative Law Judge for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. Tanisha received her B.S. in Secondary Education from Butler University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
