The Irvine Campus will continue to participate in the Negotiated Salary Trial Program (NSTP) during the 2023-2024 academic year. Ladder-Rank Faculty, Professors of Teaching, and Professors in Residence who are not eligible for the Health Sciences Compensation plan are encouraged to apply. Schools and academic units may establish their own internal deadlines, however, all completed requests must be submitted electronically to the Office of Academic Personnel (acadpers@uci.edu) by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023. No extensions will be granted.

Guidance on forms and instructions of NSTP entries into UCPath can be found on the Academic Personnel website, http://ap.uci.edu/compensation/nstp/.

A systemwide joint Senate-Administration Taskforce has made its recommendation to institutionalize the program into Academic Personnel Manual (APM) policy and create a permanent negotiated salary plan. UC Office of the President has authorized the extension of Phase 2 of the NSTP into fiscal year 2024-25 to provide sufficient time to give careful consideration of the systemwide comments and draft policy.
