Academic Year (9-month) Faculty – Current Salary Cap Calculations
For faculty paid on an academic year basis — 9-month salary paid over 12 months (09/12), the nine-month equivalent must be calculated as follows as their annual compensation rate is based on service for the 9-month academic year.
* $18,808.33 x 9 = $169,275/year or $14,106.25/month paid over 12 months.
The monthly salary rate for the academic year salary for faculty paid 09/12 from a DHHS capped fund source cannot exceed $14,106.25.
Fiscal Year (11-month) Faculty – Current Salary Cap Calculations
For faculty paid on a fiscal year basis—annual salary paid over 12 months (11/12), the monthly capped rate of $18,808.33 ($225,700/12) is applied against their monthly 1/12th salary rate as their annual compensation rate is based on service for the full year.
