CHIEF PERSONNEL OFFICERS
In accordance with guidelines issued by the Office of the President, the University of California is implementing salary increases for the titles listed below consistent with the provisions of their collective bargaining agreements. All salary scale percentage adjustments are approximate as the precise amount may vary due to rounding and modest smoothing to maintain consistent increments between steps. Smoothing of the salary scales may result in an increase of more than the listed percent. The current salary admin plan in UCPath will be used to apply the respective salary increase.
July 1, 2025, Range Adjustment
Unit 18 Non-Senate Faculty (IX)
In accordance with the contractual agreement between the University Council-American Federation of Teachers (UC-AFT) and the University of California, the 2025-26 salary scales for the Non-Senate Instructional Unit IX (Unit 18) titles will be adjusted by a general range adjustment of 4.0% with an effective date of July 1, 2025.
Professional Librarian Unit (LX)
In accordance with the contractual agreement between the UC-AFT and the University of California, the 2025-26 salary scales for the Professional Librarian Unit LX titles will be adjusted by a general range adjustment of 3.5% with effective dates of July 1, 2025, for monthly paid appointees, and July 6, 2025, for biweekly paid appointees.
Academic Researchers Unit (RA)
In accordance with the contractual agreement between the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW), and the University of California, the 2025-26 salary scales for the Academic Researchers Unit RA titles will be adjusted by a general range adjustment of 3.5% with effective dates of July 1, 2025, for monthly paid appointees, and July 6, 2025, for biweekly paid appointees.
October 1, 2025, Range Adjustment
Academic Student Employees (BX) Unit
In accordance with the contractual agreement between the UAW and the University of California, the 2025-26 salary scales for the Academic Student Employees Unit BX titles will be adjusted by a general range adjustment of 4.0%. The scales have an effective date of October 1, 2025, for monthly paid employees, and October 12, 2025, for biweekly paid appointees.
Graduate Student Researchers (BR) Unit
In accordance with the contractual agreement between the UAW and the University of California, the 2025-26 salary scales for the Graduate Student Researchers Unit BR titles will be adjusted by a general range adjustment of 4.0%. The scales have an effective date of October 1, 2025, for monthly paid employees, and October 12, 2025, for biweekly paid appointees.
Postdoctoral Scholars Unit (PX)
In accordance with the contractual agreement between the UAW and the University of California, the 2025-26 salary scales for the Postdoctoral Scholar Unit PX titles will be adjusted by a general range adjustment of 3.5% with an effective date of October 1, 2025, for monthly paid appointees, and October 12, 2025, for biweekly paid appointees.
