Dear Colleagues,
Article 7A of the Lecturers Unit (IX) contract states that a Unit 18 faculty member with a two or three-year reappointment shall undergo a Pre-Six Academic Review (subject to limited exceptions) that concludes in time to complete reappointment consideration and provide reappointment offers no later than May 1st for appointees on a semester system or June 1st for those on a quarter system, in the final year of their multi-year reappointment. The procedures for this process have been updated and can be found on the AP website at https://ap.uci.edu/unit18/pre6reviewprocedures/.
Effective immediately, the Office of Academic Personnel should receive a completed copy of Pre-Six Academic Review files for record-keeping purposes. Please email the completed review to your assigned Academic Personnel analyst.
