Represented Academic Researchers Salary Increase — UCPath Freeze

UCPath Freeze for represented Academic Researchers: January 13 – 14, 2020

In accordance with the labor agreement between the United Auto Workers (UAW) and the University of California, represented Academic Researchers (RA) will receive a salary increase effective January 1, 2020 for monthly-paid employees and January 12, 2020, for biweekly-paid employees. A 4% increase will be applied to employees in the Project Scientist and the Specialist series and a 4.5% increase will be applied to employees in the Professional Researcher series.

In order to implement this increase, we ask that no changes/updates be made in UCPath for the individuals holding appointments in the represented Academic Researcher titles from January 13 through January 14, 2020. As the system itself will not prevent updates/changes, it will be up to the initiators/approvers to “freeze” all changes to this population during this time. Importantly, any changes to job codes due to the new FLSA requirements for this population should be made as soon as possible, prior to January 8, 2020.
