In accordance with the current contractual agreement between the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) and the University of California, the salary rates for the Postdoctoral Scholars (PX) will be adjusted by a general range adjustment effective October 1, 2024.

Preliminary Postdoctoral Scholar Impact Report:

Academic Personnel has distributed the preliminary postdoctoral scholar impact report to all impacted units on August 27, 2024. Units have until 5pm on Monday, September 9, 2024, to provide Academic Personnel with any data corrections required for central processing. Range adjustments will once again be split into three processing categories. Further details were provided within the email containing the preliminary impact report.  

Range Adjustment Processing for October 1:

PX with an initial appointment date between October 1 and April 1

  • Scale movement to October 1, 2024, UC salary scale AND experience level increase.
    • Move to the next experience minimum salary rate level or receive an increase of at least 3%, whichever is greater.
    • Will receive minimum 3% overall increase on October 1, 2024.

PX with an initial appointment date between April 2 and September 30

  • Scale Movement to October 1, 2024, UC salary scale.
  • May receive no increase on October 1, 2024, if already above the October 1, 2024, UC Scale experience level minimum.

This is the last day departments/units may process any PayPath actions for the PX.

Tuesday, September 24, 2024ADJUSTMENT COMPLETE
Units may resume processing PayPath actions for PX.
