In this in person orientation, faculty will get to know the Office of Academic Personnel, get to know UCI, and get the information needed to jumpstart their careers at UCI. During this orientation, we will introduce them to faculty governance and the academic senate, issues of importance to faculty and to the campus, and support structures for their research and teaching. They will also get a chance to meet Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Hal Stern and other campus leaders. Whether brand new out of grad school or have been faculty for years, we are confident this jam packed day will be well worth their time.
