The purpose of the workshop is to explain the various stages of the academic personnel review process, the documentation required, and the roles and responsibilities of all levels of review (e.g., faculty member, Department, Department Chair, Dean, Council on Academic Personnel, Ad Hoc Review Committee, Vice Provost, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor, and Chancellor). Members of the Council on Academic Personnel (CAP) will also be present, and there will be time for questions and answers.
This workshop is intended for Assistant Professors, Assistant Professors of Teaching, Acting Professors of Law, Assistant Professors of Clinical, and Assistant Professors in Residence. If you are undergoing review for mid-career appraisals or promotion during the 2025-2026 academic review cycle, you should DEFINITELY come, but it doesn’t hurt to come even off cycle.
