Beginning with the AY 2023-24 Academic Review Cycle, departments/units are now able to utilize Scholar Steps to process the reviews of faculty members who have a split appointment in two different faculty title series. Please implement the use of the Scholar Step system for faculty that have such appointments (i.e. ladder rank and In Res split titles) and are up for review this year.
Please be aware that at this time, Scholar Steps will reflect only one of the faculty member’s two title series, including in the “File Summary” page automated by the system.
When creating the file please select the ladder rank title for the purposes of consistency.
The file itself, commentary from all levels of review, and the final action letter shall reference both title series as normal.

■ Non-Reappointments
■ Career Equity Reviews
■ Review of split appointments (split schools/departments)
■ Review for individuals that require surrogate Chair, Dean, etc.
