Dear Chief Personnel Officers,

The Office of Academic Personnel will centrally identify and update the UCPath system with merits and promotions effective July 1, 2024, that have been completed in ScholarSteps for senate and non-senate academics. If your departments have already entered the data into UCPath, we will not apply changes to those appointments.

A snapshot report was generated, today, Wednesday, June 14, 2024, for all files in ScholarSteps that are in the “Complete: Post audit and store” stage. Files finalized after this date will not be included as part of this mass upload.

Two-Step Process

STEP 1:
Using the report generated from ScholarSteps, we will identify the academics who have a finalized review file for the 2023-2024 academic year and extend their end date from June 30, 2024, to June 30, 2025.

STEP 2:
We will then perform the mass update of loading approved merits and promotions into UCPath. Unit 18 Non-Senate Faculty will have the 3% range adjustment applied to their merit/promotion salary. 

Additional Information

  • Appointments that do not have any rank/step/salary changes (reappointments, MCAs, WOS merits, etc.), will not have changes made to their records and will need to be manually entered by departments into UCPath.
  • Please note that any summer salary and NSTP entries for the affected individuals will not be processed and will need to be manually updated by your departments once the mass update has been completed centrally. 
  • Once the upload has been completed, we will send out a notification to each school with a report of the records that were updated in UCPath for your review.
