The University and the UAW, the union that represents postdoctoral scholars, have recently reached a four-year labor agreement in mid-October 2016. There are significant changes to the contract provisions governing salary increases, appointment duration, and paid leaves, the Academic Personnel Office in partnership with the Labor Relations Office will be hosting contract implementation training for campus partners who have responsibilities in administering postdoctoral scholar appointments and personnel matters. This session will provide detail information regarding any policy changes and implementation guidelines on how these new contract provisions will impact postdoctoral scholar appointments.
